ANNA LEWIS

You've met the protagonist of "Minor Problem," 10-year-old Tony Gregory, of "Minor Problem." And you've met his cousin, Carl Gregory, Carl's cousin, Will, and Tony's best friend, Desireè.

Now, prepare to meet another one of the tritagonists, a vital character supporting the two main characters. Her name is Anna Lewis, and she is nine years old. Her mother used to babysit Tony and Carl when they were younger, which resulted in a strong friendship. She is also part of Carl's class in school, and he has a tiny crush on her but finds it annoying whenever she makes a mess in his clubhouse.

As a beautiful day ends in the summer of 2001, Anna and her friends hear a loud crash from Tony's house. After investigating, they find the house trashed and Tony's parents missing. The kids then head to Carl's house, where they walk in on his parents with the kidnappers. It is up to Anna and her friends to help Tony and Carl escape three bumbling villains and save their parents.

Read "Minor Problem" and find out!

When we asked author Joshua Emberley-Penney about creating the character of Anna, he had this to

say:

"Well, believe it or not, Anna was based on another friend, but I realized she would prefer to remain anonymous. So then, for the sake of interviews and likeness, I switched some things around. Kindra was originally in the story I wrote as a child. Still, I had to remove many characters when I reworked the story. Sometimes as many as ten children played in that garden, but sadly, I drew the limit at Tony and Carl having three friends. So when the opportunity arose for Kindra to be involved, I asked her, and obviously, she jumped at it."

"Oh, it's awesome; so exciting," says Kindra Martin when asked for comment. Joshua is highly thankful to still have Kindra's support twenty-seven years after being babysat by her mother as a child.

Well, there you have it, folks.
